Tenuta Tascante Contrada Sciaranuova

Etna Rosso that has the finesse of Grand Cru Burgundy? Sacrilege! Blasphemy! You should be ashamed of yourself! You call yourself a Wine professional! I can hear your screaming fits of laughter and your vino-shaming from here. However, let me say this loud and clear, this wine is ELEGANT, complex, and has the finesse of a extraordinarily worldly contessa.

This wine made from Nerello Mascalese hails from Sciaranuova located at an average elevation of 730 meters a.s.l., between Montelaguardia and Passopisciaro. These grapes are grown on carefully terraced hills surrounded by chestnut groves.

Eight generations of the Tasca family have carefully tended their family farms in Sicily producing some of the most sought after Sicilian reds on the planet. Our Wine Guys highly recommends that you experience one of the finest examples of Etna Rosso we've tasted in a long time.
